I have an idea for a new dial for wet people.

What does excite you on The Internet(tm)?
That he feels the need to capitalize “The Internet” and to (tm) to it boot.

The two go together in a trademark.

There must be one, or two, footballer's wives here that came here looking for something to put in the Christmas stocking, but could not spell 'Rolex'. It can hard to tell who they are..

Is this the continuation of the freezer thread?

Posh Spice frequents the WRUW thread.

But that’s only to see if David Beckham has bought a new Invicta…

Evidently, but the freezer thread went poof a couple of days ago. This one will probably have the same fate.

Seriously ... Sinn already does a variation of this. A capsule containing copper sulphate with a sapphire inspection window is built into the case. The copper sulphate absorbs moisture inside the case and the colour deepens as more moisture is taken up.

Not the same as a real iridescent butterfly wing.

Oh I am really getting it now having just been thinking about plots, specifically burial ones, you need to think of your future and I can see how a wetness indicator would be useful as the plot I have been looking at is close to sea level with sand subsoils and when the tide rises I beleive that the water table gets very close to the surface which as you can imagine at 6 foot down ( approx. 2 and a 1/2 washing machines depth) would get a bit wet so a watch with this sort of indicator would be useful.

You would want to have a good measure of water resistance and anti corrosive properties I imagine as after a few years it might be difficult to read the dial ( Reference that recent Breitling space thread).

As this is an international forum, the use of standard SI Units for measurement of distance is preferred.
American units of measurement, while allowed, are to be subordinate to SI Units.
