Great post AJ! Quite a few British comedies have made their way to the States, but I never saw this one before. When I googled the show, I saw that Steve Carell who stars in the US version of The Office, was interested in remaking Only Fools And Horses here at one point.

Sanford and Son was based on our Steptoe and Son.
All in the Family was based on our Till Death us do Part.
