I bought a genuine sm 300 without a bezel last year unfortunately the bezel was missing. I managed to find a genuine bezel. May I have some advice how to assemble them. I am going to order a new plexiglass, a bezel spring, and a ball baring/s for the bezel. I have not assembled a 300 before and thought I should to ask your advise. I am not sure how meny barings I need? thanks
If you plan to replace all the bearings, then you will need 3 - if you have the watch in front of you with no bezel on it, you should be able to see that easily. You should also replace the small coil springs that go under the ruby spheres, so you will need 3 of those as well. After you fit those, then make sure the inside groove of the bezel is clean, install the new bezel retaining spring, and just snap the bezel on the watch. If you intend to replace the crystal, then the movement will have to be removed, and from the sounds of it you are not a watchmaker, so I would suggest you let them replace the crystal. A press will be needed to seat the new crystal in place. Cheers, Al
Not sure I understand your question - that is what is used typically on the SM300 cases. What case reference is it?
the case reference is 165.024. I asked as the bearings are listed as "ball bearings for bezel 099ST0029" I assumed that they would be metal?
