I absolutely hated my Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial bracelet!

I do have the same 300 co-axial and I'm also debating the brushed vs brushed effect. I should enquire at my local AD in Paris. The picture looks great though. How long did it take to have the bracelet brushed?
All of about 25 mins. Reading quotes that some are getting is mind blowing! As mentioned above, my watchmaker charged me $30 to brush the bracelet!

Me too! .... I could not get a good fit despite micro adjustment ... the small screw and pins for removing links is funky and not needed... changing from bracelet to strap was way too difficult .... 300 has since be given the boot

In the meantime I put an omega tan leather strap on my 300 and I'm pretty happy with the result. What do you guys think?

Great conversation! I'm looking for a brushed finished bracelet aswell. Does anyone know if the 007 Spectre bracelet will fit the standard SM 300MCO? Or maybe even a 21mm Seamaster Planet Ocean bracelet?

Thanks!

I think it should have been designed this way from the start. I'm considering this for my next big watch purchase, so I'm glad to hear it can be refinished so cheaply.

I never really was a fan of the 300 bracelets. To me it takes away from the simple charm and other wise clean design. I went with a Planet Ocean 600 Titanium with the blue rubber strap almost for just that reason. Too many links and ornation takes away from the watch face in my opinion. If you want jewellery buy a gold bracelet from Mr. T.

Love it. Perhaps black gator would be equally stunning. You are drawn to the time piece almost immediately with the eye. The strap is a co-star after all.

Three words, Scotch Brite Pad. Go only in one direction and you'll accomplish the same results for pennies. Here's a Stainless Colt 45acp Officers I refinished using this method, the whole gun was brightly polished and matt in some areas when I started, I left some bright for contrast. Yes, those are real African elephant ivories too.

Just spoke my OB and they want £175 to brush the centre links (not going to happen)
Does anyone in the U.K. London would be ideal, know where this can be done at a reasonable price!
Sorry to jump on an old thread
Hi @Ewellblue, did you ever find someone London-based to brush your centre links? I have a Seamaster 300 MC on its way to me and plan is to brush the bracelet unless the PCL grow on me.... Thanks in advance!

Scotch Brite pad is all you need.
Thanks, even on the titanium? I saw on another thread people had used the rougher blue end you get on some rubbers, but that was more for restoring brushed titanium bracelets than for refinishing a polished surface. I’m also a bit conscious of messing it up!

You need to keep both the bracelet and the sanding tools you're going use as straight as possible.
I would exercise on some other metal first, if I where you.

I think you should have used curved spring bars. That leather strap is too thick to use the straight bars that came with the watch and you scraped off some of the top finish. I know from experience. It should “heal” but you really should get curved bars. If you bought that strap from Omega, it should have come with curved bars.
