I have a citizen that my daughter gave me two years ago for Father’s Day , and there are no marks and I wear it everyday even at work .

Funny thing is that 18 years ago, I bought myself for the princely sum of $91 a Citizen Prodiver watch in titanium to serve as my beater. This watch was on my wrist every time I was involved in some activity I wouldn't risk my other timepieces in. And yet, after wearing it at work, during two moves and while doing whitewater rafting, this Citizen keeps looking like new while some of my more pampered watches gained a few scratches here and there.

So maybe it's just that your watch is effectively built like a tank... 😉

Scratch at 40 on the bezel annoys me every time I see it….🤔

That was the main reason holding me back to shilling out 28k.

Do you need glasses? Maybe your watch is actually dinged up. I'm kidding, but only kinda-- I used to wear my Milguass everywhere, including to many construction sites. I thought it still looked brand new. Until I took a good pic of it and zoomed into the photo...

EDIT: added pic

I still think I look like a slim, fit 20 something. Sadly the mirror and my back say otherwise.

My company builds large, barge able structures. We chased some of the offshore wind substation opportunities for a number of years. After a while it seemed like all the real players had plans to bring most of the major hardware in from Europe, so we moved to other opportunities.

As a Maritime Academy grad who spent some time on and under the water, I'm going to have to give you a tsk tsk for hurling. 😀

All in jest buddy, it happens to the best of us.

Normally I don’t get sea sick, which was also why I, as the only one, declined to take the Sea sickness pills offered. And I was the only one who got sick 🙄 Lesson learned. But that’s what you get when we pencil pushers (or is it keyboard pushers) venture out into the real world 😁

Lucky I get a helicopter out to all the rigs I go to. 😉

I haven’t dinged a bezel too bad but I break up fights and climb fences and go into some nasty
Areas looking for homeless encampments I really do a number on clasps.

I have watches that I've owned for many years, being on my wrist while hiking, doing work as a mechanic, construction work, landscaping, etc, etc, and still look like new.

Then I've had watches that lived as safe queens and a ding appears out of the blue.

It's just the nature of watch ownership...

That's why you don't store you watches with your pineapples! You're just asking for scratches!
