Easy, its your silver wedding anniversary, get her something silver with Diamonds in it, and then cook a nice meal, with Champagne, and home bake a cake (we have an OF baking thread for inspiration) with candles. What's not for her to like, Silver, Diamonds, Champagne, and hubby sweating over a home baked cake with candles. (P.S Cake is more likely to get you laid than the other 3....), at least in my experience

Made a big inroad on the 25th wedding anniversary celebration today...

basically begged my way into having the bakery that baked our wedding cake 25 years ago in Michigan not only recreate it but (very begrudgingly) agree to break their no shipping policy and ship it to New Mexico overnight for the big day.
And after a shit ton of thinking, cancelled my DJ36 order and redirected those funds + additional for a 25th wedding anniversary diamond ring on a platinum setting... went big on this figuring "even though she mostly drives me insane with frustration, and I'm sure me her, I am only getting one 25th as is she -- and I still like her (most days)."
That one hurt and was sobering as fυck -- 15 Sericas or 2.53 Sapphire Sandies or 2 DJ36's or 1.25 IWC Igniters or .73 VC Overseas.
Now I just need to figure out a way to get one of her current rings off her finger and to the jeweler so we can get a sizing without her knowing.

Betting she gets me a card.

25 years ago this very day that female belted me in the arm, a serious punch at that - left a sizeable hematoma, and told me to "knock it the fυck off" because I was bitching & moaning about the mayor of Ann Arbor Michigan being late to our pending nuptials.
25 years later she can still kick both my ass and my heart.
Her actual gifts are still inbound from NYC but in their place for today I surprised her at work with three dozen red roses, a couple of helium balloons and a chocolate cake for her & coworkers.
She looks happy - therefore I am happy.

The memory of that 25 year old punch is still pretty damn real - wasn't expecting it and BAM it was delivered, and as such was not ready so I tripped and fell over. She didn't even feel bad about that as a byproduct of her right hook -- and worse: my best man and her maid of honor began laughing at my expense (fuckheads).
But to answer your question, no she doesn't know about the grand gift - supposed to arrive this Friday - and yes, the ring hurts much deeper than any watch purchase probably because it's worth so many watch purchases.
