Jokes aside, I think someone has tried to "restore it a bit" by applying black paint in worn sections.

I don't see the paint, but that picture (and my eye) are not the best.

Anyway - not uncommon to see the edges of the numbers obscured a bit on the outer or inner ring.

Not recommending it by any stretch, but it looks better than many that have sold for hundreds.

It went from 拢0.99 to 拢697 in 10 hours. Still just less than a week to go. These prices are actually bonkers.

There is a worse condition one on German ebay for EUR 1,200 馃檨

Prices are just stupid, so glad I bought up a couple of them early last year for my various Speedys

I would not bother about these cut numerals on the edge. This is common and I have seen plenty of DON bezels with these cut numerals.
