After weeks of research and attempted patience, I ended up pulling the trigger on my first vintage watch: this 60s Seamaster. I like it quite a bit, and am already stalking my next acquisition. I can see how this hobby can become a slippery slope.

Anyway, how did I do? It is supposed to be all original and looked fine to my still-developing eye, but I am thankful for your expert opinions.

Looks very nice to me, congrats on the purchase!

Movement also looks very clean; was it serviced before you got it?

Only thing I'd change is the strap!

Thanks! I don't know if it was serviced before I got it, but it keeps good time. I've been thinking of having it looked at by a pro just in case.

I've been thinking about changing the strap too. Any suggestions?

Hadley Roma also sells nice lizard straps, including ones for people with small wrists!

Rios 1931 makes a nice minimal stitch strap that panatime sells if you wanted to go more casual.

This is how it looks on my speedmaster.
