How would you wear it?

I recently bought the blue version on a bracelet. I like the bracelet, but I ordered the blue Omega rubber strap that I plan to rotate on an off.

I’m currently wearing mine on a nato strap. I’m starting to really like it. I also like the bracelet and go back and forth between the 2.

The lume is not as cleanly applied as a genuine. It’s easiest to see on the 6 o clock marker. The hour markers are yellower than they should be. The engraving of the ZrO2 is too deep. The date wheel color doesn’t match the dial color. The crown guards are too short, making the crown look like it sticks out too far.

I’m sorry, but what the h*** have you been smoking. I don’t see any of these “tells” you are talking about. Look genuine to me.

I agree I don’t see that at all. I can say for sure that my lume plots have taken on that same yellow hue in certain lighting conditions.. the “ZR02” engraving looks the same as mine, the date wheel color looks the same as mine, which is also not a perfect match..as well as the crown guards etc..
I didn’t notice anything amiss on first glance at the photo and now under great scrutiny I still don’t see anything out of sorts

These Seamasters look fantastic on the flat-link too. Forstner really nailed it.

The 1s are clearly not gen. The Gen 1 has a sharper point under its tail. The 1s on the replica don't even match each other.

And this was from an image of the watch the user posted before.

There are even more tells like the size of the He valve, the size of the scallops, the "Swiss made" text, the sparkling on the hands (from bad finishing), minute markers being too bold, too sloppy, and too raised.

It's not cool to be derisive just because you're ignorant. The fact that it looks genuine to you means nothing. If you can't see any of these tells, there must be an issue with your perception. This Seamaster is 100% a Chinese replica. The tells are not random either. They are completely understood and studied by people who know.

Sorry for the rudeness of my comment, but the pictures you are supplying as proof that the watch posted in the original pictures were fake are not even of that watch. The dates are not the same! The pictures you show are more yellow than what I see in those pictures. The angles are different. If you are calling out the pictures the OP posted as examples of fakes, please use those to show your evidence.

Whether or not the watch is real or fake you are not the big hero of the Forum for coming on here like a ton of bricks, pompously playing "gotch ya" and acting like the big Forum watch sheriff. There are tells that indicate you are an ill bred jerk. Those tells are not random either.

Just wanted to correct this statement, as I realize no you are talking about a picture later in the thread, not the originals pictures in the first post. I was reacting assuming a comment that those pictures showed a fake watch. I won’t comment on the watch you are labeling fake, as I don’t think the pictures are of sufficient quality to tell (at least not by me).

Oh, like what you're doing now? Ironically, you are trying to police this place.

I stated that a fake watch was fake. I was not believed so I showed evidence.

Well I can’t argue with your evidence, that’s pretty comprehensive. I will say that it terrifies me lol. I guess I really don’t know what to look for and can easily be fooled by photos, maybe holding both in person would make it easier to detect anomalies

I do often forget that there is a major replica industry out there.. i typically just assume the best and would not jump straight to skepticism when someone shows me their new watch

I can’t talk on if the watch is fake or not. I’m a new omega watch guy. However I would think maybe private messaging the person and explaining why you think it’s fake would of been much more tactful. I can only go by what I would feel if my watch was possibly a fake and I would be mortified with the loss of a few thousand bucks. Let alone feeling like I was being slammed because of it. That might not of been the intent and intent is not always easy to understand in text . That’s how it came across though. Also as a newbie people can think I’m crazy or stupid but the possibility of buying a fake is why I will only buy from Omega or an A.D. until I’m more educated.

I thought there was something fishy about that guy with 12 Rolexes pinned to the inside of his $50 suit. Guess it was a good thing I didn't have the $20 he wanted for that almost new Submariner. AD's and OB's only for me too from here on.
