How to change speedmaster bezel?

I am going to LIKE your post for the DIY effort, but I'm not a fan of repro parts. 😉
(I'd prefer to see an authentic service bezel.)

Thank you Dan, I respect that and agree with you but in this case the bezel was less than half the cost of a more modern (2nd hand) replacement and aesthetics trumped originality for me this time. The watch is not so dear to me that everything has to be original or OEM (to name a few crown is not original, no original bracelet, and I have relumed it 😀 )

Realistically what is the problem with his bezel? Given the cost of OEM parts. Also, if his DoN is from where I think it’s from, they purposefully make them imperfect so they can’t be passed off as the real thing if you know where to look.

This is a pretty ethical middle ground.
