Gilding a lily. It’s gorgeous, no doubt. But not my taste. And I shudder to think how much such treatment costs.
I saw comments on the video and the artist said he needs from 150-300 hours to make an engraving like this.But he didn't say how much would cost. I assume 3000-5000$.
I do this all the time — I mean, wearing mint DON bezeled Speedmasters. My kids ain’t going to appreciate the difference. To collect is to consume, I've said this before. Might as well enjoy the wine. I could go on...
Similar but quality is much different. Seen some nice subs before but this one is crazy and a crazy base. I do think those Magrette are amazing though.

I was thinking about reluming my speedmaster.So my question is to do it or not? Will that reduce value?
I think relume is more attractive than no lume at all. I wouldn't guess that a relume of a dial that is already missing it's lume (it looks like that's the case in the photos you posted) would have much affect on the value.
