I pay between 30-50E for a vintage one. 16mm is the size you want.....14mm ones are harder to find straps for

this one was 40E...off Ebay, a few months back

Omega sells buckles but they don't look at all like the vintage buckles.
Hi, actually I think there is a version which is close to the vintage version, sold for around 50€.

It depends on what you are going for. I’ve paid as much as $200 for original UG, I think north of $100 for Omega and I have a few aftermarket ones as well.

That one does look much better than one I got! Do they come in gold too?

I’ve seen JLC buckles go for more than $500... it’s just about what it’s worth for ya. I personally don’t care about buckles and sometimes mismatch the metals and it doesn’t bother me, so I’d never shell out. But I know others who wouldn’t hesitate!
Yes, me too, but that's for a solid 18k one. Not that that justifies the price in any sense. I think a correct period buckle is a nice thing to have but no more than that. I would rather put the funds towards another watch.....but if anyone has a '60's gold JLC buckle going cheap pm me please....lol

Until the ubiquitous lockdowns the best places to source vintage buckles were European flea markets or watchmakers shops, in any city break I’ve made last years I’ve visited these and sourced buckles for €15-€50 for my watches. eBay sellers ask really high prices comparing to what I used to buy them and the shipping is too long to wait for.

I live in the U.S. and, with the lockdowns, probably won't be traveling to Europe this year.
