Some sites said 39, others said 38.

I can't find this information in official Omega website.

Could you please correct this?

Thank you.

The other question: is putting a magnet next to Master Chronometer (Master Co-Axial) enough to detect a real Omega?

Omega site said that (see photo).

You do however need to use one of these magnets

Is it real or a joke 😀

I saw a video on youtube that Omega demonstrate this with just a small magnet …

I’m just normal user, so it would be an easy way for me to check the authentic of the watch, instead of bringing it to an authorized Omega service center.

Just time it with a simple timing app that can be downloaded to your smartphone. 8400 beats at 25,200 bph, there aren't currently any fakes that beat at this rate (that anyone knows of, and the likelihood currently is very, very small). Watch Accuracy Meter is the one I'd recommend.

what 8400 are you looking at?

Thank you for your advice.

I actually do this, though I have iphone, so I use timegrapher instead of Watch Accuracy Meter.

I’m lucky to get a Spectre, so I do every possible way to check it:

- Contacting the original OB based on the information in warranty card.
- Comparing the calibre through the case back with pictures from multiple sources: Omega website, Omega forum spectre story article …
- Putting magnet next to the watch based on Omega website suggestion.
- Timing it using Timegrapher.

Everything looks ok, except that the OB could not find the information when they sell the watch. They store the information using customer phone number, but I dont have this information.

---

Note that I’m in Hanoi, so there’s no Authorized Omega service center here. That’s why I have to check everything myself.
