Does anybody know how long Aldo (The insert grandmaster) has been the replicating/re-finishing the Seamaster bezels inserts?? Curious to know as my particular 2913-8 has been untouched for over 15 years. Any info greatly appreciated.

 

are you concerned that your bezel might be redone? if so, post some pics, the experts can tell you for sure.

You need to post macro shots of your bezel digits and the bakelite bezel edges for the SM300 bosses to have a look.

If you ordered a bezel from Aldo 15 years sounds about right

 

I am no where near an expert on these. However, my gut feeling is that is not redone, but original, due to the concave profile of the bezel and the imprecise boarder on the numbers.

 

Hope that’s the case. It’s great knowing the past 15+ Years history and knowing that it’s literally just been sat in a glasses case on a shelf :0)

 

Has anyone out there got an Aldo replacement bezel? Is it concaved much?
