I received (one of) my gold 133.8 back from the Watchmeister on Thursday. This is a guy who works on everything including haute horologie. It was a basic service but as the watch was already in near mint condition, I gave him free rein on the finish. The purists will call this heresy but he has lifted the finish from Zenith to Patek. My photographic skills do not do it justice but basically the vertical surfaces are satin and the horizontal ones, polished. The result is that a watch that I loved, is now a watch with which I am in love.

Many thanks to Paul Brady at Prestige Time Services.

Love the prose. Using my imagination to see the satin finish on that beautiful watch. I'm calling dibs for you on the next decent macro lens that some forum member wants to sell. ;)
