What's that you say? It's 82掳?

Hmmm, (82 - 32) / 2 = 25掳C. Yeah, I that's nice patio weather... 馃榿

And you could have enjoyed Verona for a day or two if you'd never been before. So, which watch?

I have been round that part of Italy quite a lot over the past few years, otherwise I would have definitely had an over-night stay!!
Picked up a Zenith G381

Close enough for gov't work I expect, but why not just multiple by 5/9 instead of dividing by 2? Still easy enough to do in your head, but gives a result that is a bit more accurate. 馃摉

Because few people can multiply a number by 5/9 (0.5556) in their head. Dividing by two will get you in the ballpark.

Had a day trip to Melbourne, which is a 2.5 hour each way, but got my first rolex 馃憤

On the other side, drove a couple 100 km out of the way to meet a seller on a road trip who sounded like he had some good stuff. Turned out to be all junk 馃

I think it would depend on the value. I'd travel anywhere in the UK for the right Patek (or at least I'm hoping to do that later this year). But probably not for that far for other brands.

I drove from Cincinnati, OH to Hooters [in St. Louis, MO] to pick up a watch...about 12 hours total driving time for the round trip...no problem! 馃憤

so I鈥檓 in Connecticut, I do travel a lot to MA but try to avoid driving in Boston. Anyway I found a gentleman selling a 2003 Rado chronometer for 250 and he is throwing in a watch winder. He is moving out west and is into smart phones now so he is just looking to unload it. Watch looks nice, I know Rados aren鈥檛 top tier but I have a couple vintage and really like them. It鈥檚 a 2003 and of course has never been serviced, I don鈥檛 know why people get decent automatics and don鈥檛 bother getting them serviced but anyway it鈥檒l probably be a three hour ride for me. Just wondering if any of you travel when you see a good deal.
I鈥檓 also in CT, and the furthest I鈥檝e traveled for a deal was New Hampshire. Probably a 3.5 hour drive. Worth it.

I'm soon moving to CT from Europe, good to know that there are some fellow watch enthusiasts in the area 馃榾

Make it easier. Multiply by 5, and then divide by 9. Math is easy 馃槑
