Exactly what do you want to know? What do you think yourself?
You're much more likely to get help if you share your own thoughts.

Overall I think it looks good, The star is a little crooked to me. The ref. on the inside of the case back is unfamiliar to me. The crown isn't like most I've seen but the listing says it is authentic. I think It could be mine for $2100. Is that decent? is this something worth perusing? Thanks for all the help!!

Have you tried comparing the watch with others that have the same dial, case, movement..? Did anything stand out? Hint: there's at least one thing that makes this unattractive for me.

    Hmmmm

just the one? - there's a few things bother me
    Lovely dial
    Nice medallion
    Heavily polished lugs
    Replacement crown
Rotor rubbing (gouging) on the movement

however, I'm more concerned that if the movement number is 21,4XX it puts it at 64/65 - rather late for a 14902?

the wonky star is the least of it's problems ;)

    Hope that helps

Incredible piece once you dive into the photos provided in the original sale thread. Realized at $2112.24 USD. Better price, better condition, and you save $400... Patience is a virtue, especially around these parts. I've had two purchases made through the sales thread and have had flawless transactions. These are people you can trust, as long you are going to practice proper business. Enjoy the hunt!

    Best,

    Thomas

    an 18k beauty
tried to get bart to keep it and was very tempted when he was sure on selling it
a bargain IMHO -and no-one on OF snapped it up

168.005 20.09xx serial -hence my comment about a late movement on the 14902

In fact, in addition to the mis-matched date wheel, the lugs would be a deal breaker for me too.

Is the serial number 21.4M or 24.4M?

    IMG_0169.jpg

Hard to tell based on the above.

If it's 24.4M, highly likely it's a replacement movement. If it's 21.4M, it's possible that it's a transitional piece. The reference numbers changed right around 1963. The Ref. 14902 and 168.005 are equivalent.

Pattern on the dial looks a bit funny to me in the photos provided. On these watches, you really need a close-up inspection.

    Hope this helps,
    gatorcpa

PS - My watch has a serial number very close to 21.4M, is 14K, Ref. 168.005 and has the exact same crown.

Yeah that dome dial Hoi posted was mine. In the end it went into a trade (cash up from my side) with a Rolex Day Date.

The seller, a Dutch vintage watch dealer, had it sold before he even listed it on his website.

Thanks Thomas! I'm definitely learning patience as I see more and more. I'll keep a close eye on the sales thread and hopefully the perfect watch will come up and my patience will pay off! Thank you for your patience with newbies like me :)
