    Hi guys,

I'm still on the hunt for my first Speedmaster, and have my mind set on a 105.012.
There are a few available, some nicer than others, and this one has caught my attention.

From what I can see it looks original except for the pushers and the crown.
I love the dial, hands look good to, as does the bezel.
I'm not completely sure about the case though, which is why I'd like your help grading it.
It's a 66-CB, and I can clearly see the facets on the lugs. The sides of the case look less sharp though, as if only those have been polished.
    Last service was in 2010.

The seller lives in The Netherlands, like me, so it's possible to see it in person before buying.

I sometimes find Speedmaster cases difficult to judge from photos, but this one looks obviously polished to me, at least too polished for the asking price. On the other hand, the fact that the CB facets are still evident is something. Dial, bezel, and hands all look nice.

I would ask for a clearer movement shot too.

I agree... And correct on the pushers and the crown being service. What is the asking price and how do you know, Andy?

Honestly, the only problem I have with this watch is it is $3000 overpriced.

Yes, it wasn't until my previous reply that I noticed it was priced in GBP and not USD...

I noticed this one a couple of times before, for a simple reason. I own one from the very same shipping. And this one offered leads me to the conclusion I should ask 15k £ for mine..which would be optimistic despite it's better standing.

It's a reasonably nice CB that's had a slight polish and has a bit of wobbly lume (but I think it's original). Nice bezel though.

Great watch at the right price, but the right price isn't £10k IMO, especially with a later bracelet.

    Thanks for all your insights!
Indeed the lume isn't perfect, but it doesn't detract from the dial, for me.

I agree that the asking price is too high, which is why I'm asking for your assessment of it's condition.
If I decide I want to buy, there might be some slack in the asking price due to this.

I would gladly take that of your hands, just not for 15k £ ;)

As I said, and I would feel like a arse asking 15..today :) Concerning it's twin, it's really attractive but I'd at least expect original pushers for the price, that's the way it is today.

They were cranking out the Speedmasters that week. My 012-66 CB was produced on November 29th, but it went to Sweden. The Ed White from this thread was made the following week. Busy times in Biel in November/December 67. :D

I watched the auction online, but that lot rose above what I was willing to pay for it pretty quickly. Selling price wasn't too ridiculous, but I'm looking for one slightly nicer. (In terms of dial lume and correct hands)

I can't see how £6900 is too much for the above but you're considering £10k for the watch in your OP. The in from WOK is nicer IMO. Even with incorrect hands.

Don't worry, I'm not going to pay that much for the one on chrono24.
The seller would have to lower his price substantially for me to consider it.
As for the WoK piece, I was surprised by a rapid rise in mid auction, but I agree it's selling price is fair for the condition.

    Wrong pushers

Lume and hands might have been re done. What makes me think it might be is the even yellow colour of both the plots and the lume. Subdial hands are also very white. It just smells a little bit of relume. I could be wrong about that, perhaps in hand it would be clear.

Each time I go back to the photo the lume gets brighter.

    What does everyone else think?
