Maybe a little something on the lighter side to look at tonight. I'm constantly amazed at how some vintage Speedmaster bezels have survived the years without a ding or the paint chipping off. For me, it's always great to see vintage pieces in such spectacular condition after all these years. Anyone else out there have a pre 1969 Speedmaster with a DON 90 bezel in an unmolested, pristine, dent, or chip free condition?
Well, pre 1969, DON, well couldn't help myself. 2-69's, 1-87, 1-67 Hope you'll forgive me Pristine and Blue and Brown( Hi Miki) Pristine and NOS never worn Pristine and Grail Almost pristine 145.012
Awful bezel ...let me relieve you of the embarrassment. Tell you what, I'll take the watch with it too, as favor to a fellow OF member.
I have an original pulsations bezel in pretty good condition on my 145.012-67. I have tried to research the pulsations bezel and as far as I can see, this is the original 60's version with the small vertical stripes below the numbers. The modern pulsations replacement has dots instead of stripes.
But unfortunately your pulsations level is not correctly positioned. For obvious reasons the "60" needs to be at the 3 o'clock (15 seconds) position.
You're right! I somehow never noticed this. Guess my heart rate is not quite as special as my bezel has let me to believe. Will get that fixed the next time it is going to service. And I'll get the watch fixed too.
