Hour marker variation on a 131.021 SP

I recently purchased a Geneve 131.021 SP (18k gold) with interesting markers at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 position. Wondering if anyone has seen markers like this before and/or whether they know where this may have been originally marketed? It was purchased in Canada (though I don't know where the seller sourced it) and according to the serial number on the movement, it was manufactured in 1969.
