I finally tracked down a shop in my area that had a few Omega watches. During my lunch break I stopped in and checked them out, I didn't have a lot of time. I snapped a few shots and was hoping for some general opinions. He threw out some prices but I expect there would be some room for negotiation. I wasn't able to provide movement photos unfortunately but did run each watch and based on my very precise method of using my iphone stop watch (sooo not really precise at all) they all appear to be keeping accurate time.

I'm unsure about service history, but I'm going into any watch purchase expecting to have the watch serviced in the next year.

So, based on my bad iphone photos, what are people's thoughts.

Crystal looked like it was signed and crown was signed, somehow i didn't take those photos:

I think it says 1036 or 1035. Good thing I took all those photography classes in college, way to focus...

I'm accustomed to seeing the Omega symbol on the back so wasn't sure if it was legit or not.

The second watch, I'm not sure if I'm crazy about the 70's styling, crown is signed here too, couldn't tell on the crystal would have to check again when I go back:

Damn, another out of focus photo of the band.

The third watch, he wasn't sure if he wanted to sell:

Adjusted the images as best I could, here's a slightly(very?) more in focus image of the first watch:

I like the chronograph. Probably cal. 861, would look good in my collection for sure, very sporty!
Perhaps a bit worn regarding the case but if thats ok for you, its a fun watch.

Yeah I agree, I liked the look and size of it. Definitely fits the type of daily wear watch I'm looking for. Thanks for the feed back, I'm gonna see if I can find something similar based on the cal 861 to compare prices.

The bracelets on the other two are quite valuable.

1035 bracelet is worth more than that Seamaster ... what price did he throw out?

Case on the chronograph is a little rough. That model has been somewhat left behind in the recent vintage craze. I've been tracking them, and the most recent 861 panda I saw sell went for something like $1800.

IMO, its an uncommon, attractive, and very wearable vintage watch. Plus, if its an 861, you get a vintage panda that you can easily have serviced and for which parts are readily available.

Check the movement on that closely.

I'm an idiot. That's not a panda. The last 145.016 I held came in to my mind and just stayed there ;).

Point is, panda or not, these can be a great value.

Was able to buy the first one, the second stopped running when I was there, swapped the battery and waiting to see if it keeps going, probably try and grab that one tomorrow or Saturday. Thanks for all the help everyone, hopefully he'll come up with a price on the 3rd, that's really the one I think I'd want as a nice sporty daily wearer.

Here's my 145.006-66. Has the c321 movement. My understanding is that a subsequent model has the c861 in a very similar case. You'll probably need to open the case to confirm which movement is actually present in the offered watch.

I've heard caution is in order on those old quartz/tuning fork watches. Apparently if they need a resurrection, it's pricey!

Jap, be careful and maybe focus on the chrono. The tuning fork movements can be tricky, but its cool to watch the moving second hand (although that sounds annoyed me :D )

Great catch on the 1035! I would love to find one in a store nearby!
