A bit of a scare with the wee boy, after our time on Deeside and many walks through the forests he picked up a couple of ticks which I removed but yesterday his urine had a tinge of blood 馃檨 Increased his fluids and thankfully all is now looking good but obviously monitoring him closely.

Today and it certainly looks as if summer is over,

Here we have Mac in his diaper. I stood him up so he can get his drink. He will wobble and fall over eventually and then drag himself in the house. No control over his bodily functions. Outside he can stagger around in the grass a little. Poor old dog. He was the fastest Pug on the west coast. Now he is pretty much regulated to his pillow and staggering outside when he can. Tried the dog wheel chair, Mac could figure it out or he didn鈥檛 want to

We lost our child on Monday, such a funny, sweet and loving dog.

Thank you fellow pet owners for letting me share, especially the ones who have recently lost their own loved ones.

Sorry, I can't say anymore right now other than our hearts are shattered into a million pieces, we are beyond devastated.

I'll add more when I can.

Just read this. So sad for your loss!!! RIP Cooper!

Guess I can鈥檛 really have a story about Mac without Sammy. We rescued Mac and Sam within days of each other. Why the owners didn鈥檛 want them is unbelievable. So we thought Mac and Sammy would be best friends and buddies. Instead they became arch enemies. A day has never gone by (now they can鈥檛 fight since Mac cannot) that they did not fight or scrap with each other. They would eyeball each other from across the room then go at it. Never could really hurt each other. Mac with his Pug face couldn鈥檛 really get hold of Sammy and Sammy is too little. He would usually just bounce off Mac. Now Sammy will walk by Mac and give him a good growl and give Mac the shit eye.

Kitchen helper...

Dinner table helper too...

Definitely a dessert helper...had a bit of vanilla ice cream with amber maple syrup on it, and Remi got to lick the residue...there wasn't much left though!

He's not always such a good dog...rolling in squirrel poop means you get a bath...

Not having fun here!

He looks like a very devoted, good boy. Rolling in squirrel poop is just "being a dog". 馃榾

We got to this point with Banzai after exhausting ourselves and him with therapies to forestall the inevitable. He was miserable and we were miserable. We had to make the call. You've crossed over into intensive geriatric care. Personally I will never allow a pet in my family to reach this point again. Strength to you and your family.

I keep a close eye on Mac for him giving up. He barks with all the other yappers and seems to enjoy staggering around in the backyard and sitting on the couch for a good scratch. If the poor old dog seenms disinterested in all I will know
Does this look comfortable to you?

Could be a trip to the doggie chiropractor

Inka the Finnish Lapphund!
Love a Lapphund! The attitude!
Will try and dig out a pic of our Veela who passed a few years ago, Lapphund /Valhund cross.

If she was a something she would have won all the awards. As it was she was the Boss of all doggos.
