Some times the old boy just can't be bothered going for a walk, he is fine but seems to think he is the boss, t.b.h he probably is 😀

I feel for you Al. The chemo treatments are just a constant balancing act between fighting the cancer and damage to the internal organs. I hope that you will have some additional quality time with her.

For food, we have had some success mixing boiled hamburger meat (boiling separates the fat, which is easier on the stomach) with rice. I boil up a couple of pounds of meat and make a big batch of rice, and it lasts for a few days (keeping the extra in the refrigerator obviously). One of my dogs lived on her "sick food" for her last 6 months, and she kept eating well until the end.

Thanks - we have used hamburger often, and rice as well. Along with chicken, pork, all sorts of root vegetables...she is a picky eater for sure.

What worked the last couple of days is some cooked elbow macaroni sprinkled on top of the kibble. Once she eats a few of those it seems to spark her appetite and she starts eating the kibble. Some days though it's difficult to know if she really is off her food, or just playing me for something she likes better than the kibble...she can be very cheeky...😀

This is Kippy - my corgi mix who passed away in 2013, the year before moving from New Orleans to Stockholm, Sweden. My fiance and I have met a few Corgi breeders here and should be getting a puppy next fall if all goes according to plan.

When dogs are trained to retrieve, they can, at times, bring back things that would be best left alone. 🙁

From the way she is licking her lips, this long dead Shag, could well be a little "tangy" 😁

The younger Hooligan does not seem quite so keen.😉

I have, with all of my dogs, made a point to accept, to hand, whatever they retrieve. It has proved interesting, at times.😀

I'm keenly aware you will have noticed there has been no nonsense from me in a while, reason being my S9 has developed a fault so dumps most things I do unless in limp mode🤬

Very jealous of your black French Bull and the black Lab. Nice places to go out, 100 degrees by 9am here in the desert. Can’t wait to retire and get the hell out of the summertime inferno. Good boys!

Just returned with Zelda from our first backpacking trip of the summer. A little bit of everything ... beaver ponds, peaks, and alpine meadows. Very lucky with perfect weather and no bugs. I really think she is the best hiking/camping partner I've ever had. Such a happy girl all day, and at night, she just curls up in the tent and sleeps until I'm ready to get up.

Went to the dog park today and played with some other Australian themed dogs, and then took Addie down the street to Pub Dog restaurant for salads and pizza served in dog bowls.
