Hydromorphone is what the paperwork says. They said it was a one dose that lasts several days.
Oh wow that’s dilaudid. My vet said they primary use bube but I guess it varies by area who knows. I was on a dilaudid diet in ICU for a month after a bunch of invasive surgeries. Good to know your vet cares about your cats pain level.

I gotta get Rocky to the vet I’m concerned about his kidney function but I know last year they said he had gingivitis I really hope he doesn’t need teeth yanked he already hates the vet.

I just had her back there for what I suspect may be a UTI. She's been camping in the litter box without going. Waiting on urinalysis results, they sent her home with more pain meds at 10 bucks a pill. Oncior.

Pill? Can you actually give your cat a pill? I found it easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.

I had chemo pills for one of my cats they were like 80 bucks a pop. I tried giving them to her straight, wrapping them in food(she would eat around it). I could give her an IV but no pill. So I payed 120 a pill for the special liquid mixture.

Anyway it’s always worth it for them, hope your kitty is alright.

Actually it's (somewhat) easier to give her a pill than to get her into the carrier. And it is totally worth every penny.

Opus is our old man. He doesn't get posted much because he is really a momma's boy. He's our third Rhodesian Ridgeback, and the first to make it to old age. He went through a rough patch last year, but with some meds and a new diet, he has been doing really well. We are enjoying his gray face.

Well, tests show no problems. So basically she's just decided on a new gross hiding place. Cost 500 bucks to find that out.

Rocky is upsetting me. He figured out how to open a sliding window on the second floor. He also managed to pop the screen open. I’m gonna have to cut some wood as he was getting ready to see if he could make the jump one day.

I tell the children this is a loaf of cat and if we need to move it we must slide a pizza peel under it and shuffle it to another spot.

Found a bunch of photos. Good while it lasted. Never enough.

I had a friend many years ago that had a cocker spaniel and a part Siamese mixed breed cat that were two peas in a pod. They were a great little crew.

Last week's snow has melted, but there is still some melt water in hollow pot-holes on top of boulders. And Max knows how to find dozens of them on our daily walking route.

Three elk and a group of wild turkeys also seen on our walk today!

Not the usual dog or cat, but this one is mine. My slow-moving little security guard out on driveway duty today

He's smart enough not to jump.

Dog sitting for my son again this week. Spend 1% of my day feeding him and 99% of my day telling him he just ate.

Pets come in all shapes and sizes.

Stumbled across this memorial on my walk.

My first ever pet was a turtle. I actually saved one on a road this week…little painted turtle sunning itself on the road. Stopped and put him well off to the side.

Much easier to handle than the big snapping turtle I took off the road several years ago. That one was aggressive! Had to pick him up from behind to avoid losing any digits.
