s/As long as he's comfortable that's all that matters... /s

You know it’s bad when they do that and you try not to move as you don’t want to disturb them, I’m weird like that

This is Bug - a Whippet we are dog sitting for 10 days...

She's still a puppy, so the energy level has been through the roof. First day was tough - lots of whining and crying, but she's better now. Remi is mostly indifferent, but generally seems to like her. Maeve was pretty snooty/aggressive at first, but is warming up to her now.

A first for Linguini and Porthos. They’ve never slumbered this close together. Although they get along fine, Linguini is 13 years younger than Porthos who spends 23 out of 24 hours sleeping while our little noodle of a cat has tons of beans!

Love the fluffy look. It’s funny the brothers Grimm do occasionally use each other as heat sources but more often I find them locked in combat and they just fell asleep as they fight so much. It’s kinda funny but sometimes it looks like a double murder scene

Still struggling to get old boy on a keel. Progress graph a bit saw tooth and we are not sure if we are gaining or loosing ground. Yesterday was not the best but he is back and active today. We have another vet visit next week. Chicken breast lunch in bed seemed to help (like chicken broth for humans maybe :0). Molverine is being her cute self and not taking advantage of the situation (well maybe a bit).

Max has been pretty down since we lost Zelda, and TBH, I also haven't really had much motivation. But Mrs. S strongly encouraged me to get out of the house, so we went for a hike for a couple of hours in our "backyard" open space yesterday and it was a good change of scenery. On the trail, Max perked up and enjoyed sniffing and meeting other dogs and people - he's a very friendly boy. He's also a cold weather dog, and starts to pant in temperatures over 50 ˚F. Unfortunately, at home he was back in a funk. 🙁 I think it will take a while.

Can't "like" obviously, but I know just what you mean. Hang in there bro.

That’s sad. The brothers are really bonded and if one gets inadvertently shut in the garage or a spare room the other will come meowing at me to let him out.

I laid down after work yesterday as I was in quite a bit of pain, I must have dozed off as Maharishi sprawled across me in a similar manner hairy the cat did which made me have a dream hairy was still alive. I agree it’s gonna take the both of you sometime.

These two are so funny, they remind me of two black brothers we fostered and ended up keeping, sadly they had a really rough upbringing, they were completely different characters, but so boisterous, loved a bit of rough and tumble, and would really get the arsehole with each other, but ultimately they were inseparable and really and cared for looked out for one another.

When we lost Snickers tragically in 2008, Banzai was in a funk for about a month, then seemed to bounce right back. I have never really gotten over losing her. Since Nala looks just like Snickers, I started losing it the other day when I thought about her end and short life. Banzai lived a rich and full life. I miss him but its different. It sucks seeing them go in any case.

I understand what you mean. It's no easier to say goodbye even when they have lived a full life, but when they go prematurely it really feels like being cheated out of all the things you hoped to share with them.
