I don’t know if you have iPhone but they put together montages of pets and show the pictures with music, kinda like a slide show. I have so many of sooper dooper and hairy I can’t bring myself to delete. Most of the time it’s pleasant memories but when they play and you’re bummed out about something else it can hurt a bit. I think sooper is a young 24 in this picture.

I spent almost an hour down this rabbit hole the other morning looking at "Pet Friends 2005", "Pet Friends 2006", "Pet Friends 2007", etc. Not to mention the fact that all of the other "memories" are also dominated by pet photos. Gets me every time.

Rosie was my once-in-a-lifetime pet friend. A bond like no other.

We humans have had a lurgy this past week but nearly over it. Old boy makes an occasional window check but has not been out the entire time. More temperature related than concern I suspect. If we are resting he has been a bit closer than usual (but again the body heat is a factor) Young girl has proved to be an excellent neck stole although she losses patience with the patient quite quickly :0).

Glad to hear you are getting over the lurgy, as a family we are all suffering at one time or another and this weather is certainly not helping 🙁

I’m going through the same. Last night actually, before going to bed I got one of those “pet memories”. It made me both sad and happy as pictures of Boules Noires were interspersed with ones from the young Linguini.

lurgy
I needed to look this up…I’m always fascinated with words and expressions foreign to my living environment.

Apparently Apple knows my wife, and they sent me a "memory" of her photos on her birthday. That's what got me going.

I needed to look this up…
Me too.

We are still a bit under the weather - but walking wounded and trying to shake any malady off before the Xmas.
We came across these two cheeky characters on our ramble today - they called us over braying, hoping we had a carrot I suspect.
Seemed apt for a pre-Xmas post.

I had to look up lurgy myself but I think it goes beyond just the body heat @Omegafanman hairy was alive for two of my Covid bouts, only one of which was really bad but she stayed with me through both bouts. Not the normal hanging around me for body heat. My German Shepard was similar when I was recovering from a tendon transplant stuck home for a few months pretty miserable and she wouldn’t leave my side.

Now I’m dealing with the brothers who certainly will show affection but since they are “litter bonded” their attachment to each other makes them more focused on each other, although I did see Rocky Raccoon chasing his tail today so although getting big they are just over a year old and seem to be hanging onto the kitten brain. We had a fight at 7am and it will be the first of many during the day.
