It is way too hot hot hot for us today. I gave young girl a rub down with two frozen (sealed) packs of butter which she appreciated.
Not much cat activity today / old boy has tried all his ‘cool’ spots and then melted on the kitchen floor :0)
Edit…. At the end of the day he still wanted some lap time… but not for too long….

Figured I’d do a public service announcement about this audiogenic seizure disorder in cats. It can start out slowly you may be opening a bag or drop something and you will notice an odd physical response similar to a human being startled but it appears to be more limited to the limbs. It actually looks kinda funny at first. At a certain point I don’t know if it’s the decibels or just the continuation of the noise the cat will stand on its hind legs, usually fall over and go into a grand mal type seizure. Certain anti seizure meds help but I have come to find they are like sandpaper to a cats liver. Also the overdose threshold is very low so when using human liquid anti seizure meds you need to be right on. Fortunately it seems to be limited to specific sounds. Guitars are fine, stereo and TV but clink a dish and kitty will be thrashing around. It’s one of the more weird things I have encountered in an animal. It is very rare, so you probably don’t need to have too much concern but if you do happen to notice weird body movements that appear noise related just monitor the situation. Hairy has given me several near heart attacks with this stuff but I have found a work around with numerous of the offending noises but when the neighbors do fireworks it’s usually a bad night. Other than that hairy is still her grumpy old princess self. She still tries to follow me everywhere she just needs frequent breaks
Happy hairy it really doesn’t seem to bother her cats are probably like humans and don’t remember seizures

Arrived home today to meet the latest arrival to the family, ten week old Cocker Spaniel who is as sharp as a tack and is already obeying the basic commands but best of all he is super cuddly 😀
Now all we have to do is choose a name, never expected it to be so difficult but with three of us having an input 🤦

Arrived home today to meet the latest arrival to the family, ten week old Cocker Spaniel who is as sharp as a tack and is already obeying the basic commands but best of all he is super cuddly 😀
Now all we have to do is choose a name, never expected it to be so difficult but with three of us having an input 🤦

Daughters nails, a hobby which has grown and she now has all the equipment and enjoys the nail technician hobby although she is not getting near mine 😉

Really appreciate the name suggestions but he has now been named 'Freddie' which I like and he responds to it which is excellent 😀

How about Mr Fraizer or Ali as he appears to posses a squared jaw which I notice in many top boxers. Bernard Hopkins, the Bronx bomber? Or maybe Mr Hatton.
