..... my cat .........chances of her killing me........

as far as I remember, my wife, bother, father, father in law, cousin, friends think of that way and warning me I am too close to my cats, risk for serious injury

but I am the one hanging out with cats at the age before I can read or write, sometime putting my finger into the cat’s mouth asking to bite me, never had that feeling of killing or hurting me, maybe I am wrong all my life

Ha ha same here there are pictures of me somewhere as a toddler with a cat laying next to me on the floor, the cat looks bigger

I did have a mini cat crisis this week. A very nice, well groomed cat kept stopping by one of the houses I work out of. The residents enjoyed it and would be outside trying to talk to it but three damn times I saw the poor thing come feet from getting hit by a car. The cat had a collar I knew someone owned it walking to get coffee I saw it sitting on this nearby house. I took a chance knocked on the door when I saw a car home and yes it lived with them. I just let them know the animal had several NDE, they were happy I told them. It seems the cat tries to sneak out when they leave for work and they couldn’t find him in-time to get to work. So Thursday and Friday I no longer saw the cat out. That’s good, see my first assumption was they were not good pet owners.

A few cat challenges currently. We were away this weekend and the old boy is now extra clingy / clearly missed us (even more than usual). There might be another reason for that. The owners of his on/off crush have told me that she is not doing well in their house with other pets and animals and that they might have to put her up for adoption (she is already a rescue). With their permission I am giving her some respite in our outbuilding the last week or so and trying to see if her an old boy can get along. He seems resigned but she keeps hissing. I have managed to feed them together a few times. If I can get them to rub along then I might take her in. He can come and go as he pleases and has the whole house. She can go out but I have to let her in (the wonders of technology) and she has not been in the house. I can handle her / she is very friendly to humans. I am getting her an outside kennel to help as well. I don’t want to stress the old boy out of course. She does have an issue that she has no off switch for eating so I cant leave food down / she will just never stop. Old boy is used to grazing / only eats what he needs. Maybe letting her go for adoption again is best / what do you guys think?

Perhaps you should try a little longer? And let them in separate rooms or parts of the house when you are out? Food restrictions for one and not for the other....

Thanks. I will take that as a vote to try and keep her. The trouble is I can’t get her entry rights and leave food down plus they are not getting on which can stop old boy eating. I will persevere/ give them a couple more weeks. She has made herself at home today ;0)

She is a cutie ! I know it is not always easy to introduce a new pet when you already have one at home ..
