Hairy having a bad day. I’m a little concerned about her eating habits and told her straight out she will be going to the vet within the next two weeks for a checkup. I think she could tell by the tone of my voice it’s not good news. Then I had to lay down as my injuries are acting up while I paint the deck. My wife left hairy out but hairy expects to be let back in promptly and I fear I kept her waiting too long. Something tells me she will be waking me up at 3am again with an incessant meow an inch from my face as that seems to be her new revenge.

Here's Wonder, just before his 11th birthday. He was a Christmas present when I was in 5th grade, and lived to be almost 12 and a half. Cancer got him, as it does with most goldens, but before it did he beat it twice. This was his favorite place, because we could let him off the leash, and there was plenty of wildlife for him to chase (and get skunked by, but that's a different story).

Cancer got him, as it does with most goldens, but before it did he beat it twice. Sweet dogs, sorry for your loss. You gave him a good life and he gave you wonderful memories.

I will try that some day with the horde. In about 30 seconds they would scattered around the county.
I have a problem with well behaved dogs. My wife has been too lenient with them. I couldn't get one to “stay” if my life depended on it.

Really sorry to hear that it’s always such a sad loss. Damn it was January my cat Baxter passed and I still come home expecting to see him. You got to spend some great years with wonder and build a cool bond between human and another species, it always amazes me how we can do that. Glad your thinking of the good memories cause damn that stuff hurts early on.

Yup, been worried about hairy as she hasn’t been eating much. Tried a few brands started getting worried and made an appointment with the vet. Then I remembered a couple weeks back my wife bought a case of fancy feast as it was on sale. I went out got a couple cans and now she’s doing a speed eating contest with the stuff. I guess she was holding out guessing her dumb owner would figure it out if she waited long enough. Looks like the pet food bill will be going up may need to sell some watches. I’m amazed how well hairy has trained me.

Yep, we just have one dog. In this same parking lot she got loose, ran into the grocery store, and said hi to all the customers.

I am pretty sure they have it at Costco for pretty cheap. Near the end our senior cat would only eat that stuff.
