My dog did things like that when fireworks were lit off in the area

We have been fortunate that our dogs have no issue with loud noises like fireworks. My wife was walking Maeve last week and there has been some construction going on to sidewalks in our area. One of the workers was using a gas powered compactor/tamper, and he waited until our dog was right beside him to fire up the unit with part of it on the curb - made one hell of a noise, but our dog didn't even react. He was watching for the reaction...didn't get one...

Good to hear my dog was absolutely horrified of fireworks especially but certain other loud noises would set her off. She would shake very visibly. I talked to the vet once he recommended Prozac. I just couldn’t see the sense of adding that to an animal. Now another vet is recommending Prozac to my cat hairy, perhaps these vets have drug stocks or something.

Realised I hadn't seen the wee boy for a while so a couple of whistles without response which to be honest is nothing unusual so started a search and this what I found, so many rules broken 🤦

@Barking mad we have a jealous cat here. Yours is too cute. This cat goes outside in a thunderstorm. Our formidable boxer would pant, tremble and hide.
