Thanks you guys. As someone self quarantined at home with some symptoms of the virus, these images of your favourite animals really lift my day, especially as I currently have no pet of my own to share.

This and the jokes thread are a great way to keep smiling.
Hoping that you will feel better soon...

this one is my favorite

My wife had two cats when I met her: Joyce and Glinda. Don't ask. Glinda was a white cat and I swear was convinced she and my wife were in a relationship, and when I showed up, she was none too happy to meet this 3rd wheel. I have never seen an animal attached to a human like that. Well, November of 2018 Glinda stopped eating and drinking. The vet said her kidneys had shut down. She carried on like a trooper for days, but it became clear that keeping her alive when she wouldn't drink or eat was cruel, even though she was able to move about. I had never euthanized an animal, but I was there when my wife said goodbye to that cat, and when she said "I'm sorry I couldn't help you" just before the vet took her, I had to "go outside." I wrote a children's book for my wife for her xmas that year, about Glinda the cat and her girl. I can't look at it without getting all weepy, still.

Anyway....The tabby came to our home from the shelter in December as a kitten. She has been great fun, lots of personality, but she runs the older cat, Joyce ragged. I guess I've become a cat person. 😲

This one looks A LOT like Joyce. Let me find a photo.

and more of the youngster

She loves to burrow under things. You can actually see her little healing incision after being spayed.
with her chicken. Hilarious to see her carry it

Primrose decided to lie down right where I was building an Ikea cabinet. So we made the most of it and put her to work.

Do you have any other tips to make a semi-lazy yellow lab "useful" other than as a 96 lb (about 43 kg) trip hazard/door barricade?

Generally, Prim’s opinion of what constitutes being useful seldom correlates with my own. Luckily she’s cute, and only about 30kg which helps when she does this.

Bonus shot of her falling asleep sitting up after a long walk.

Obviously a couple Frenchies are bad influences. All I need is 12 dogs running around with tree stumps in their mouths

Nap time after work. In the “watch room”. Kitty joined in right away. Keeping an eye on me now!

Few cars on the road. I expect a HUMVEE with a loudspeaker “take your dogs and return hone”

It’s been a long time since we’ve had a sunny weekend like the one we’ve just had. Me and Eddie have done our bit for social distancing and got off into the woods for a few hours. Eddie now zonked.
