I have read research that showed Horses and Dogs are the primary animals that people can get an attachment to,(love), that is very similar to the love you have for spouses/family members and that they cause the same grief/loss when they die. Not to say some can't get that from other animals, but Horses and Dogs dominated the research findings.
Best "Blankies" we have found are the children's cot duvets/covers from Ikea if you have one near you. Last forever and take countless washes

I can sleep anywhere, but this is one of my favourite spots... He always hogs the best spots to sleep...so I get stuck with the floor (even though there are 2 other chesterfields I could go sleep on)... By the way Raven, in the second photo looks very innocent, but she managed to steal a 1/2 slice of toast last night from my wife's plate and run around the house with it for a while...we were not impressed. Very naughty!
These guys are hanging out in the backyard with me today while I work. But truth be told, they'd rather be inside. That breaks my heart because I've raised wimps!
