Over the past weeks we have been having a massive clear out and today it was packing up all the old cuddly toys for the charity shop, the wee boy seemed to think he was allowed one, t.b.h. he stole it
Sorry for the loss, it hurts so much! They’re with us for such a short time (relative to human lifespan) but certainly doesn’t make them easy to say goodbye.
Alsace used to be German Off road or not ... still superior German driving skills (Walter Roehrl style)
Thanks. We had him from a 6-week old stray kitten, but like 15% of cats (which we never knew before) he had heart disease and by the time symptoms showed, medication could only postpone the inevitable. The average survival time from then is 3 months and we had him for nearly 5, but one day it became clear he was struggling to breathe and we knew what had to be done. He was the youngest of our cats and had a happy, joyous nature. He was no pushover but he loved other cats and was kind to them, if that makes sense. He was affectionate with humans too, but only for short periods and he certainly wasn't a needy cat. I hoped he'd see another summer and maybe pass away peacefully on the lawn in the sun, but it wasn't to be. We loved him and we miss him.
Brittany's are special dogs. So loving and friendly, but high energy (in my experience). They make a great running partner.
Boogie and Kaya were all about picking up branches during walks. Niner, not so much. She puts her all into treats though.
