We found the same (southern Canada). We moved to our current home in 2003 and had our daughter in 2005. We would take our daughter to the park down the street often and yet rarely met any neighbours. 2009 we got our dog and within the next summer we got to know almost all our neighbours. Funny thing...

My staff were always male and mostly young and occasionally conversations would turn to relationships and I occasionally would tell some of the boys who were finding it difficult to strike up a relationship to borrow a friends dog to take for a walk, preferably a puppy and they would find that the doors would open 👍

Guilty as hell, of, er, something or other....

DO you mind! Can't you see I'm busy?

What does she know that I don't?

A very large cat.

Just lurking.

Is that a church pew I spot 👍

It is. We were told it came from Stirling Cathedral, so it has made its way a few hundred miles south. It is a plain but lovely piece of work. It seems to me like vandalism to replace fine old pews with a load of cheap chairs, irreversibly robbing a church of half its dignity and grandeur. But such are the times we live in.

I have been silent for a while. Busy period at work, but my old boy was always close and ready to cheer me up. A true friend

Alas, today Mrs P and I had to say goodbye to our, not so little, pal Siegfried.
He’d been unwell for a while and whilst it broke our hearts to do so we had to do right by him and make ‘that call’ today.
I was privileged to hold him as he gently slipped away and at least now we have some comfort in knowing he’s no longer in pain.
He’ll be sorely missed but will live on in my avatar.
A couple of pictures as a tribute to our much loved Ziggy.

Lost my dog a few years back could never work my way into getting a new one, when you have them for 12-14 years the grieving is too hard

But If I was to get a new one which I doubt I will , I would not get it operated , instead I would get it trained, my friend spent 2-3k with a personal dog trainer over a 6 month period, man I swear its like the guy taught his dog how to talk , I've never see a dog so calm and balanced it's a 2 years old golden retriever , you would think its 7 years old on how mature the training made him.

Sorry for your loss. 🙁

One of the hardest decisions we ever have to make and the last gift of love we give to our furry friends.
