Beautiful dog and gorgeous view! Where is that?[/QUOTE] Thanks, edge of the Dublin mountains looking towards Wicklow
This magnificent creature has been gone for 30 years now and this was the first image I ever printed in a darkroom, but you don't forget them.
Following the post from @Canuck I always had a no dogs on the furniture rule but as my Pal grew older Mr Softie reneged and lately I love to see him enjoying his later days
I don't need no stinkin' bed by the fireplace, I have Christmas trash. Thank you very much! McK P.S. maybe it was the catnip. ;-)
Alpine touring yesterday with Mrs. S, Opus, and Zelda. It looks like all of the photos were pretty much taken on the approach and the start of the climb. I guess once we really got climbing, we were too tired to get the phone out. Mrs. S and the dogs are much more fit than I am, which is why I'm so far below in the 3rd photo.
Understandable ... I don't think we ever completely recover from losing a beloved dog. We have lost too many over the years, and a piece of my heart is gone with each one of them. But since we always have multiple dogs, we forge ahead each time with the remaining members of the pack. It's harder when there are no dogs left in the house; the pain is so great that it's hard to imagine facing it again. Nevertheless, I hope you will consider getting another dog, my friend. Not to replace the one you lost ... that can never be done ... but we need dogs in our lives.
