Honest opinion: Is wearing a Speedmaster like being branded as part of a herd?

To each his own. The Sub didn't replace the speedy, nor did nay of them replace the speedy. What I am saying is I got more pleasure out of wearing other watches, such as the ones posted, so I saw no reason to keep the speedy.

Poorly worded on my part I guess. I meant the Speedmaster replaced the Sub as the coveted watch in people’s minds. I don’t mind either of them myself.

I bought a Speedmaster because I liked it. I joined this forum because I collect vintage Omegas and realized a lot of other people liked Speedmasters too. If that means I'm part of a herd then BAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH. At least I can be sheared for a sweater and don't need to collect nuts for the winter.

Squirrels are domestic and not aligned with any foreign group. They're closer to militia than anything else.

However, IF we decided to send an acorn force to areas known to harbor fugitive terror suspects, I'd bet the world would be a safer place after their mission was complete.

I'm a car/ track guy, which led to the attraction to Speedmasters. Seems like the eyes to the skies guys would be the ones who favor Constellations. i.e., the 'dreamers' ::stirthepot::

For some reason, when I think of Speedmasters, I kind of equate them to modern R'n'B music. I know it's got roots/heritage, but it's moved so far away from them that it's hard to see exactly how they are related apart from the name. Then again from the supplier's point of view, as long as people buy into the mythos and more importantly buy the product they are happy ::stirthepot::

Then again, I'm pretty much immune to Speedy fever 😀
