Says 6001 as ref...automatic movement
Is this a honest Longines?

All automatic dials from that period would have had "automatic" written on them, for obvious marketing purposes. That is one problem with the watch.

Thanks - that was my assessment but sometimes one hope to have found something exciting - pass it will be

Funny I was looking at it too but concluded the dial was redone. Too bad as the case is nice.

The minute track is printed too small by an incompetent restoration process. There is no reason that an original Longines dial would have the markers sitting ontop of the minute track on the lower half of the dial and the top half the minute markers are inside the minute track. The minute track is too small and not centered. Very poor old redial.
