    Hi People of OF,

I was scrolling through the bay and came across this vintage Movado with a weird hole on the crown. Anyone knows if this was part of its design (although I highly doubt so because it reduces WR) or damage? I don't think it's a reflection since the "hole" look to have some depth it.

    Thanks in advance!

Most crowns are some sort of base-metal with a gold cap, it is possible, actually likely that is simply worn through.

And to my eyes it seems to be ever so slightly off center so probably not by design.

No clue what it could be though. Maybe it's a "dimple" from a hit it took in its life instead of a "true hole". ::confused2::
