There's a handful of pictures of this strap on Instagram but none are actually being worn so I'm not sure if you tuck the extra. Gauging the length in the pictures I've seen, I'd say it just buckles like a normal strap and goes thru the loop (no tuck back)

There are a lot of custom strap makers that can do that for less.

After a couple of disappointing purchases, I’m not recommending their straps .. in fact, on balance there are better alternatives ...

Not sure about others, but for me shell cordovan is not an ideal material for watch straps. Yes the leather itself is very rich, has great colors and can conform to the wrist, however due to it's inherent structure is also very oily (which can lead to a clammy feeling between the wrist and strap), stretches easily and is often a one-piece construction so the inside of the strap is bare cordovan instead of a softer more padded liner.

The leather and kangaroo leather natos are more comfortable IMO, but you can get similar models for 1/2 to 1/4 the price from other suppliers that will have similar quality.

I think you might do much better by reaching out to @jankoxxx here (or on his site watchstrapheaven.com) and get one of his custom sized if you're worried about tucking it in. I'd also probably pick a leather besides cordovan for nato though, seems like it would be a little too rigid at the lugs.

Saw the second link was in AUD, plenty of places in Europe and the UK then.

I have bought from here before and are pretty good.

I’ve bought many Horween Shell Cordovan staps from Jan at watchstrapheavan and recommend him highly. I also have one “single pass” strap from him with no “extra” to tuck in. He can make a custom size for you if needed but this was a premade one he had for sale on the forum.

I find lots of the stuff by JPM to be great. They are the suplier for Bulang and Son's. I have a couple of their straps and they are fantastic. Having said that, all of mine are 2 piece rather than 1 piece. I am not a fan of the added thickness that 1 piece straps add.
