I particularly like how the seller left open the possibility that the strap might also be genuine PP.

I was in a crap mood last night, having just came me home from seeing the "travel doctor" (code for vaccination salesman) and feeling thoroughly ripped off. I read that post, was just about to lay into him, but then bit my tongue.....

Wise move. I should have done likewise.

I'd had a few nice stouts and saw that so gave some advice.
In my "tired" state I didn't notice the serial number was from about 1923 and the movement was from the same period while the case obviously came from the 50s or 60s.

I was right about the crown though 😁

Actually I'm quite looking forward to seeing the purchaser joining a forum and showing off his new acquisition. I only hope he shows it on this forum.

It says Precious! Maybe Gollum is bidding!?

"Master betrayed us. Wicked. Tricksy. False. We ought to wring his filthy little neck. Kill him! Kill him! Kill them both. And then we take the precious and we be the master!"

He runs a pretty rough bargaining.
