Whatever. Our friends just returned from Europe and we caught up with them for dinner last night After all the greetings and getting drinks into our hands, they presented us with a couple of little gifts. Ms JimInOz received a leather backpack from Florence. It must have been nice coz she was speechless (unusual for her ). I then unpacked a little blue box with a Venetian antique store sticker on it. Imagine my jaw as it hit the floor when I saw this: So another little item to add to my "Omegalia" collection. Here it is with some of the other items, you may notice the Omega pamphlet stand and display mat most generously donated by @Darlinboy following his recent photo competition. And just for some watch pics to finish off with.
What thoughtful gifts! Having friends like that says a lot about a person...thoughtful gifts from quality people to quality people, or something like that.
Wow. I can honestly say, this is the nicest, most aesthetically pleasing watch collection display I've seen outside of a Boutique.
That are some nice gifts of your friends. The cat must have been in good health when they returned. Here's mine. It has developed some "patina" over time. And I'll leave it that way. I don't know if the bridle chain is original but that's the way it was bought. And some of the collection. The white SMP I bought a few years back. The Railmaster comes from Kringkily, purchased earlier this month. Regards.
And a pic for the ladies, @Syrte and @meganfox17 and others. Ms JimInOz modelling her gift while attired in weekend around the house clothing. Nice bag though! (the leather one that is ).
Lovely Jim! Such thoughtful friends! And quite smart too obviously, because it's very hard to pick a handbag for a lady when she's not around to say exactly how many pockets/ zippers/ centimeters width& depth she wants! (As you all well know.) Congrats on the neat watch display too!
Homer didn't have a chance, as soon as Cousin Eddie saw it he grabbed his Rodico saddle and went for it, Homer was distraught!
