Accutron Astronaut wristwatch on the Sovjet-Russian side
MoonwatchUniverse already posted photos of the September 1965 meeting between the Gemini V astronauts and Voskhod 2 cosmonauts...
A meeting in Athens - Greece, during which Gordon Cooper gifted an Accutron Astronaut tuning fork wristwatch to Major Pavel Belyayev.

This is a photo of cosmonaut Belyayyev wearing the Accutron Astronaut microsonic GMT pilot watch at home with his daughter in September 1967.

@SpeedyPhill I read your fantastic thread about the Soviet space Programm and the watches being used there. I bought a 1861 caliber Moonwatch (311.30.42.30.01.005) just a few days ago and showed my wife your thread and the pictures. A question came up when I discussed it with my wife. Was a Speedmaster Professional with the 1861 actually used by cosmonauts on a mission or during an EVA? We saw a lot of mentions of the 861 and 321 caliber. The cosmonauts Speedmasters auctioned of in the last years (Budarins and Pedalkas) were 861 too.

@FFabian

Of course the 1861 has been used during spaceflight missions, it has been the Speedmaster most used in recent Soyuz flight to the ISS - International Space Station... very often worn over the left forearm of the Sokol spacesuit... and during spacewalks by Russian cosmonauts, strapped over the glove of their bulky one-piece Orlan MKS spacesuits... as recent as 18 November 2020 !

Just completed a full listing of Russian cosmonaut delegations who visited Omega Headquarters in Bienne kanton Bern - Switzerland, between April 1973 and April 1994 (when Neil Armstrong & Thomas Stafford also visited Omega museum).
Would like to get some opinions on which bracelet was worn here:

It doesn't always have to be about the spacefarers, cosmonauts & astronauts themselves...
A bit of follow-on into the 1973 Soviet-Russian delegation visits to Omega HQ in Bienne Switzerland, getting the Speedmaster into the Russian manned space program.
50 years ago, American and Soviet engineers settled their differences for a possible docking of American and Soviet spacecraft after a long string of technical meetings between June and December 1971. The American Apollo capsule would be launched carrying the the compatible docking system for the ASTP - Apollo Soyuz Test Project mission… an important milestone in the détente of the Cold War.
First a 1/5th scale model was made but by 1974 the docking sytem, APAS - Androgynous Peripheral Attach System, was ready to be tested.
Note Russian engineer Vladimir Syromyatnikov wore an Omega Speedmaster 861 chronograph, as most people involved on the Russian ASTP support side received such a time piece…

This is six year old vid now but has some nice shots with a few 1861....

Awesome. Do they use the Omega supplied Nato straps to fix the SM to their EVA suits? On some pictures it seems like it's the same/similar black strap that came with the big box.

Thanks for mentioning me so I get to see it.

Just wanted to add some interesting photos of Soviet-Russian ASTP commander Alexei Leonov using a multi-lens turret camera during the ASTP visit to the United States before meeting President Gerald Ford at the White House in Washington D.C. (September 1974).
Leonov was a keen photographer... Any ideas what the make was of this ( Russian ? ) camera 👎 ?
Note Leonov's Omega Flightmaster pilot watch, a version the Russians often wore during training activities...

FOBIC - First Omega Behind Iron Curtain
Most of us are familiar with the story/history how since September 1971, Omega initiated the idea of getting their wrist watches onboard Soviet-Russian spaceflight missions. A feat accomplished by July 1974, while we see Omega watches on the wrists of cosmonauts in 1973...
MoonwatchUniverse is currently working on our last Omega-related article in order to celebrate 50 years Omega watches in Russian spaceflight from 1974 Soyuz 14 to 1975 Apollo-Soyuz Test Project... everything as an amateur on a 100% free unpaid basis.

Can You help with photos & newspaper articles ?

As an amateur I'm currently going through microfiches of (European) news agencies looking for data and photographs... while I have a 90% complete schedule of Soviet-Russian delegations visiting Bienne since May 1973 to April 1994... all info on 1970s visits to Bienne in Switzerland is welcome!
It goes without saying that appropriate credit will be given to all collaborators...

This must be the NASA / Roscosmos image of the year 2021...
ISS-65 expedition EVA - spacewalk on September 3 showing cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky in the red-striped Orlan MKS n° 5 space suit wearing an Omega Speedmaster on the righthand wrist an an unidentified large size black dial chronograph taped to his lefhand forearm !
The large size busy black dial chronograph was worn during both September 3rd & 9th spacewalks for integration of the Nauka module onto ISS

Interesting to see the all 3 Russian crew members not wearing Speedmsters on their left arm. They all appear to be wearing a goldish cased watch with white dials on white straps. Although it does look like Oleg Artemyev has a Speedmaster on his right arm.

With the Roscosmos website down since the beginning of the conflict and NASA not having an astronaut aboard, NASA's image gallery does not have any images of the crew.

Wonder what's going on?

Based on breaking news I suspect we will get more images on the MSM soon....
They have boarded the ISS dressed in yellow and not blue....

Indeed for Soyuz MS-21 a larger sized Goldish case chronograph with white dial and not the custom Omega Speedmaster strapped over the left forearm of their Sokol space suit... the last Soyuz mission we noticed without an Omega Speedmaster chronograph in use was Soyuz MS-04 in April 2017

It looks like yet another Russian made Konstantin Chaykin chronograph was used during cosmonaut training 👎
