I gave up on Rolex so here I am. Currently the owner of exactly 1 Omega (along with some Rolexes and Seikos).

Very nice way to make an entrance, although I'm not sure I'd call a 50-year-old watch "modern".

However, it's one of the best of the early quartz watches.

That’s a very nice sharp example of the marine chronometer, great watch and very special indeed! Welcome to the site

True. I'm generally not interested in 50-year-old watches or quartz watches, this one was a big exception.

Rolex is shit.

Well I wouldn't call them shit exactly but they are kind of boring and also impossible to get these days. The thing I am enjoying about Omega is the vast variety available. I have a list.

I also like Omega's closer connection to science/space than other brands. I'm a scientist myself and my favorite Rolex is my Milgauss.

Currently deciding whether a Silver Snoopy (the latest one) or an Alaska is going to be my first mechanical Omega.
