Stupid question maybe, but is there a way to know if a Speedmaster (like the OP's for instance) is original or has been "converted"?
Apart from an incomplete job, of course.
    Maybe the serial number?

Before purchasing any LE from a second hand source, I would ask the seller for the serial number, and call Omega with it and ask them to verify what model number that serial number corresponds to. If the model for the Gemini IV comes up as a 35705000, you know it's been modded.

Your watch is not a Gemini 4 limited edition model. It is a standard Speedmaster that has been changed to look like a Gemini 4 model.
You can not order or purchase a box or catalog matching this model watch.
You would have to search for a used box, which would be very rare for sale and hard to find.
Enjoy your watch for what it is , an attractive Speedmaster.

What is the giveaway here for someone who doesn't collect these, the bezel?

Here it is a black bezel, providing the color is not off on the photo.
Of course an image of the back would be most helpful

I tried to rework the OP's image get it blue, but could not succeed.

Seeing the case back could be helpful but like the dial it is easily sourced via ebay. @Archer is probably most accurate in saying that the only way to determine its originality is to verify that the movement number falls within he correct range for this LE.

    I only partly agree. The sapphire insert disc is available, but not the back with the correct engravings;

Didn't even think about that. I stand corrected. Good observation.

I would agree this bezel looks to be black when looking at it on my computer. On the cell phone it looked to be the correct color.

It sucks getting old. I can't hear in one ear and my eyesight is not as sharp, even with my eyeglasses. A couple of months back I was looking at -71 and in my hands I was not able to tell if it had a stepped dial. :(

Bezel does look black in the filtered photo, but much more blue in natural light. Interesting that cards were included but no box.... it'll be difficult finding a box to be sure. Unfortunately, even if it were, it won't be possible to get the full set as the LE certificate with the watch number will not be reprinted.

    Bought in 2009, wow...

Not at all, with proper pictures it's a winner  Thank you.

I looks like all you need is the box now. I will be hard to find, But
    It can be done.

I found proper box for my Apollo 11 last year. Dealer originally sold it with a fancy wooden box as favor to buyer, then he lost the Apollo box.

And recently I found the correct box for my Apollo 15, so now all is correct.
    So it can be done:)
