So I've ordered a TinTin and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I want to take it off the bracelet and put it on a leather rally strap, which I think would look really nice. I'd also like to get one with red accent stitching to bring out that red and white patter on the dial. Has anyone got a Speedy on Heuerville or De Griff or Hirsch? Which do you prefer? Thanks
I ordered a Degriff strap last year and while the communication was really good; the product that came was pretty sub-par. 1) took almost 3 months for the strap to be delivered (i'm guessing he's doing this business by himself) 2) Strap came and the leather started to split between the straps. I think he rushed the job and didn't wait for the glue to dry. It split from the area where the springbar was would go through (no stiching to hold the strap together), and it split the strap cleanly. I informed him of the issue, and he immediately sent another strap via DHL 3 days shipping. While i appreciate the good gesture, I think I'll save my money for JPM or something similar. I've been wanting to try heuerville as well...
I think Heuerville are great Straps, so comfortable as they are beautifully tapered. They also add a lot of character to a watch particularly Chronos. Stewart is a great guy and has helped me to match his Straps to my watches - I seem to really struggle with this part! The only slight downside is that leadtimes are long - 12 weeks+, but they’re well worth the wait. Hirsch make some nice Straps but I think they lack the tailor made individuality of Heuerville. DeGriff I’ve no experience of. Have fun searching.
I would reach out to Jan. Jankoxxx / watch strap heaven. His straps are amazing and turn around time is short. Regards.
I have heard nothing but rave reviews for Heuerville and ordered 2 straps last November. Expected delivery is early March. Yes, long lead time but I’m in no particular hurry, so it was perfectly fine with me. I’ll keep you posted once they arrive.
I've only had one strap from de griff and so far no quality issues. I ordered one of their suede straps and it was very comfortable out of the box. I may try a Heuerville next, even with the long lead times.
Heuerville waiting time is 16 weeks at the Moment but I hope its worth the wait. @htiek I ordered a Heuerville Racing for my Tintin which is also about to arrive - thats a sign
I tend to default to the somewhat predictable quality of Hirsch, but these De Griff straps look pretty excellent. Might have to try one.
My pair of Heuerville straps arrived in the mail tonight after 17 weeks, took a couple of quick snaps indoors. I have to admit, the craftsmanship is amazing and the fit is incredibly comfortable. I am very pleased to say the least, I'm a believer for sure.
Aaron at combat straps. Well worth it, custom EVERYTHING! Price is $188 shipped for Omega Deployment for any leather. Look at his Instagram Combat_straps
Heuerville. Stewart is a really decent guy and a pleasure to work with. As @Nathan1967 says he helps match the straps to your watch which I also have problems with. He even sent a few pieces of Apollo-Soyuz memorabilia along with the strap which was a really nice gesture.
