·Hi!
I have a Seamaster 300m (212.30.41.20.01.003) from 2015.
The crystal withstood some years of abuse and has a few scratches, and I have to make a decision:
1. Should I send it for Service and have them replace the crystal along with servicing the rest of the watch?
2. If it's too early for a Service yet as the watch is less than 5 years old, maybe I should just ask for a crystal replacement?
3. (preferred option) Is there any Hesalite crystal available that would fit this watch? I understand sapphire is more durable and scratch resistant (not so much in my case...) but I like the Hesalite crystals and what they do to the light reflections, it reminds me of the old Omega watches I've seen on my parents and grand-parents wrists.
I know this is probably a weird question as sapphire is more advanced and that's probably what everyone prefers, but I liked the old ones so much... is there a drop-in replacement in the market?
And that's it.
Thanks!
Best regards,
André
