A garden-variety 31-year-old Speedmaster helping me lean on a sidewalk post at the Nashville Zoo while awaiting the granddaughters, 6, 3, and 1, to "ooo and ahh" over the flamingos Saturday a week ago.


A garden-variety seahorse I made friends with in the zoo aquarium.
