Was wondering if anyone can help me identify this watch and provide some background. I stopped by an omega store in Palm Beach, shoutout to the rep there he’s awesome. I think this watch is pre 1950 but that’s all I really know. Was given to me by my late grandfather. Strap was replaced at some point, not running. Would love to know more about it. Thanks

This may be a ref 2603 with a 30mm series movement. Did they open it for you and take photos of the inside?

You'll only get specific identification by removing the back. Inside caseback will show the reference number and the movement will show serial number and caliber. I will be surprised and stand corrected if this is not a cal 26X timepiece. Here are some scans of mine, seller's scans.

No they didn’t, I probably can get inside but I haven’t tried to. Is that an easy process?

I would strongly recommend against doing this yourself - the case seems to be in pretty good condition and you don't want to accidentally scratch or damage it.

A watchmaker can do this easily for you - and perhaps even the Omega boutique

Noted, thanks for the advice. I’ll bring it in and have them remove it for me and take a few pictures and send them in once I get them.

The back snaps on and off. If you look closely, there will be a small notch to stick a blade in. Or take it to an expert.
