my suspicion is that the movement, dial, crown and hands is authentic but is set into a fake case made from real gold.

You're photographer so you should be able to give us a good clear well lit photo of the hallmark.

do you have any additional info?

Not an Omega case, so possibly local production, or some sort of recase that someone had made for them.
