    I have owned this watch for a long time (1965). It was given to me by my uncle.

    You can do a search on eBay of sold items to get the value; use the reference number inside the case back (2846). Based on the serial number, it's from the mid 1950s.

    You at least need to try and do some research yourself. Search Omega movement serial numbers and that 14xxxxxx number you have quoted will give you some date information

    Interesting patina, I'd leave that alone. Sometimes just replacing the crystal and cleaning out the crud can make a huge difference. I'd replace that crown too. I'd put it on a leather strap.

    I'd keep the crown as it's likely original.

    Incidentally, I just acquired an identical reference that was in need of a crown. I contacted Ofrei, and acquired a clover replacement crown 069ST42023 8100/1016W. It was the last one they had.

    :(

    Even common parts are getting hard to find now . . .
